Hammering gold is a technique that has been used for eons, most notably by the Etruscans, who were known for their exquisite gold work.  This is the simplest version of this style in that it has no granulation, just the bezel set diamonds that go all the way around.  The width is 5mm, making it a very comfortable option for daily wear.
