Arethusa was a sea nymph in ancient Greek mythology, and a companion to Artemis.  This is a replica of an original coin from Sicily that dates back to around 450 BCE, and shows Arethusa facing right and an octopus on the back, a symbol widely associated with the island.  Its a simple and elegant coin with a beautiful story that is rooted to a long ago era of human history.  Chain is sold separately.
