This is cast directly from an ancient Greek Athena coin dating from 400-450 BCE.  Athena was known as the goddess of wisdom, craft and warfare.  The owl on the back is her traditional symbol of knowledge and wisdom.  This coin is cast in .995 pure gold, and priced as investment grade.
